While the Xbox consoles allow players to continue using the avatars they bought in older hardware, some have discovered that these images continue to be reduced with each subsequent generation. The user of Twitter @Noukon revealed that this is the case of his beloved Pac-Man ghost player, purchased for $ 1 at the Xbox 360 in 2006. In a shared image on Twitter, the ghost icon can be seen as a small Specification in the current Xbox avatar circle. The Tweet caught the attention of the engineer of Xbox Eden Marie. Marie responded to the tweet saying that he would do everything possible to solve it.

Marie turned to work immediately. The problem, apparently, is that the Xbox 360 player images were intended to be square, and current circular avatar generates visualization problems. However, Marie was able to solve the problem, and should work for all Xbox 360 player images! Interestingly, in his thread that details how the solution works, Marie revealed that the Xbox experiences team allows workers to dedicate half a day a week in anything random that tickle us in the product. The engineer decided to make this the favorite project of him that week, and the results speak for themselves! @Noukon was also satisfied with Marie's efforts, affirming that you will never feel better with a dollar in my entire life.
The player image solution was first launched for Xbox Insiders, but it will be implemented for all others later. It is really interesting to see how this element was preserved, and it is great that players can continue enjoying the player images they have been using for several years. In the great scheme of things, it may not seem like a great thing, but Marie clearly did everything possible to help. The engineer also approached Twitter asking users to show how the correction has improved the ancient avatars of him. Clearly, she is happy with how all this worked!
