Cloud-gaming will not be dedicated shortly - Nintendo President - Phil Spencer - Video Peeling news, instructions, exemplary procedures, reviews and cultu
Nevertheless, Shuntaro Furukawa says Nintendo not only focused on dedicated consoles.
Since Google and Microsoft have made progress with their cloud streaming technologies (to different degrees), cloud gaming has become an important topic last year, and there was also a great deal of interest of different other important parties in the industry. Most agree that cloud games are becoming more popular over time, but most of them agree that dedicated hardware will continue to be the way most people prefer games (including Head of Xbox Phil Spencer itself).
Someone else who agrees to this feeling is Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa. In early 2019, Furukawa spoke about the potential of cloud games and explained that Nintendo will focus on dedicated hardware for the foreseeable future, although the technology will certainly advance in the future. Recently, in an interview with Nikkei, he repeated these feelings again.
"It is possible that cloud gaming awakens the public interest in 10 years. At the present time, however, I do not believe that dedicated hardware falls away, "Furukawa said. "It's a long way until we really know the result."
He then explained that Nintendo Cloud Technology (or other technologies) did not ignore and that it was short-sighted to focus only on dedicated consoles, not something that the Japanese giant wants to do.
"It would be pointless to focus only on game methods that are only available on dedicated hardware," he said. "As soon as your audience says that it can play on other consoles or smartphones instead, they are done."
Furukawa assured that Nintendo "is constantly researching and developing and developing them" and that they will also use them in their hardware if they think they can be effectively implemented in their games.
"I do not want the public to be misunderstood that we do not return new technologies to the back," he said. "We are researching and developing constantly. Our hardware development teams evaluate all new technologies available so far and contact our software developers.
"If you find that a technology can be used for a game, you will use it. We will not change this basic approach in the future. "
