Developer Cyan Worlds has myst, which was originally published in 1993 for PC, for Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One from the ground up designed and built, full of new art elements, new sound, newly designed interactions and optional puzzle random generator.
For the first time, myst - thanks to the localized user interface, dialogues and subtitles - can be played in many different languages. Further, various access options help gameplay and many graphics options are available to choose from, e.g. supersampling options and ray tracing to get the most out of myst. The game uses AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution to provide a higher resolution and better performance.
We have developed myst from scratch, so that it looks stunning and provides amazing services on a variety of gaming systems. One of the technical features we have achieved this is AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. This allows us to screw the graphics quality much higher than it would normally be possible. Thanks to FSR, myst can run on the Xbox Series X with the highest graphic setting in 4k with liquid 60 frames per second and on the Xbox Series S with 1440p at 60 frames per second!
With FSR, we effectively reduce the screen of the game in the background and then allow the super-sampling process to sharpen the picture. There are some minor differences, as the game looks at native 4K resolution without percentage adaptation of the screen, but a total of FSR offers a performance increase of almost 75% on the Xbox Series X | S on a 4K display without the visual playbust below suffers.
Players travel to the island of Myst and other stunning places that are called Ages, and begin to vent the secret into which they were pushed into. While learning what's happening on the island, players will discover that they play a key role in an epic story whose end was not yet written.
Explores deeper contexts in these magnificent, surreal ages, covers a story of unscrupulous family trial and meet decisions that will affect both you and the world of myst itself.
Myst will be released on August 26 2021 for Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One and will be included in the Xbox Game Pass from the first day.
