The developers believe that the addition of an SSD to the next generation consoles is definitely a progress.
Of all the functions that have been confirmed for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X, the SOLID state hard disk (SSD), with which both the next generation consoles have to have made most headlines. Developers throughout the industry have talked about how the SSDs will have a positive effect on games in multiple terms. Recently, another developer has added his voice to the stack.
Torn Banner Studios, developers of the upcoming multiplayer-hack-and-slash title, recently talked to WCCFECTech ritterlicht 2 talked about the next-generation consoles and their inclusion of SSDs, with Studio boss and leading gameplay designer Steve Piggott Cagily said that They are excited and that it is definitely a step forward.
However, he had more to say and added that the effects of SSDs would be very different depending on the nature of the game concerned, with streaming and open-world titles in his opinion, in which a solid-state Drive is used the biggest difference.
[The SSD improvement] really depends on the nature of the game, said Piggott. There are some games that do not have a big deal, but if you have something that is an open world or streaming, it will really make a difference.
