This is good news, after all, Microsoft's Xbox One Controller has already been a very good gamepad for its price range. Incidentally, you can change the assignment of the buttons with the Xbox accessory app and save different profiles. But you can not adjust the sensitivity of the triggers and sticks, which only goes to the Elite Controller.
Back with battery: Like the Xbox One Controller, its successor also resets again to AA batteries instead of a firmly installed battery. This is noteworthy in that Microsoft had already dared the step towards the battery with the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2. Batteries are apparently popular with the players, which is why they have decided again for this solution.
Conclusion: The Xbox Series Controller is the new standard, also on the Xbox One. The small improvements are enough to push the predecessor from the throne, especially since this is only badly available anyway. As long as the old Xbox One Controller still works, but you do not need to replace it through an Xbox Series Controller. For this, the difference between the two gamepads is too low.

The old version you should hardly find anyway somewhere anyway.
Conclusion: The Xbox One Wireless Controller offers at least solid quality in all areas, with which the allerman players should be satisfied. Extensive adaptation possibilities, as you can find them with the Elite Controller and other expensive gamepads, you can not expect here.
