No story, but improved game modes

For the game modes, EA Sports relies on the usual mixture, but extends these options to smaller and larger changes. In the player career, they now equip their avatar as in a role-playing game with fresh talents and thus improve their skills. Here it gets stronger on training services in mini-games and the completion of the game goals. This is worth a second view for FIFA connoisseurs - despite smaller balancing weaknesses.

FIFA Ultimate Team, the most popular game mode of the FIFA series, has also expanded EA SPORTS: The preview function already tested in FIFA 21 before buying card packs with new players has now been integrated for more fairness. This first step has succeeded, but does not change the fact that Pay to Win continues to be in FUT. Overall, EA Sports focuses on more variety, additional objectives and fairer match rules. However, the next few months will show only whether the matchmaking in the Rivals division really works. EA SPORTS also adapts the Pro Clubs: Here players now also with female kickers in the place allowed, and there is a new upgrade system that should motivate longer term.
