Banzai NAMC and Nether realm Studios have both announced that they would work more with the controversial organization of Replay Esports. Replay has recently organized big budget events for Taken 7, Soulcalibur VI and Mortal Kombat 11, so it's a turnover. The two companies have separated declarations-which have been published exactly at the same time and seem strangely similar — citing waves of vision differences and professional standards as a reason for their decisions. Okay, so it's a little strange, but the context surrounding Replay puts this choice on a different light.
Replay started making waves in the fighting game community last year when it started distributing huge gains to the best players and to have fun with talent. He has also offered some of the first competitions in person since the beginning of the pandemic. The most recent company of the organization, the Ukraine-based Ukraine, Ukraine Fighting League, presented as offering a prize pool totaling $150,000 and promising to be a permanent place of competition. If it seems too good to be true, it's because that's the case. The controversy started earlier this month when Replay's links with the 1xbet controversial gaming site were revealed on Twitter by the Competitor and Community Organizer Josh Image Cohort. In short, 1xbet is forbidden to operate in the United Kingdom for a variety of offenses. According to Kodak, they include: Facilitating Paris Children's Sports betting, advertising on illegal streaming sites and promoting a so-called Casino Pornhub with bare breast merchants.
Yikes. As if it was not sufficient, the three alleged owners of 1xbet are apparently sought after by the Inquiry Committee of the Russian Federation in August 2020. No wonder Banzai NAMC and Nether realm Studios decided to withdraw when it was revealed. When writing these lines, Replay tweeted an answer to Banzai NAMC and Nether realm Studios saying that all that had taken her by surprise, but he will continue to move forward.
