The FIFA football world association has exacerbated the international regulations for the lending of players for the next season.
From 1 July, among other things, the possible duration of a lending is limited to one year and the number of players who may borrow a club. This was decided the FIFA-Council with the German member Peter Peters at Katarische World Cup location Doha. The new rules "should promote the development of young players as well as the FIFAing balance and prevent the hoarding of players by clubs," said the FIFA.
In the future, a lending must include at least the period between two registration periods - this means for Germany a half-serial. At the same time, a player may be awarded a maximum of one year. It is also prohibited that already borrowed professionals are passed on to third parties.
In the future, a club may only borrow three players to a particular club during a season. In addition, the total number of borrows per playing time is limited for each club: From the season 2022/23, a club may at most respect eight professionals or lend. This number drops to six professionals from 1 July 2024. Player up to 21 years and players who have trained a club itself, do not fall under the rule. The new rules must be adopted within three years from each FIFA member association to the national regulations.
Several European top clubs are very strong on the lending of players. On his website, for example, FC Chelsea calls a total of 24 professionals, which are under contract at the Londonern and are currently playing for other clubs.
