Motion Twin has announced a new update for the PC of Dead Cells . This patch is available now and introduces a bosh rush mode to get new objects, as you can check in the video about these lines.
In its publication in Steam they confirm that we can access it through a door on the lower floor of the prison three consecutive bosses (one of them with improved versions) or five bosses one behind the other (again, one for normal bosses and the other with improved versions):
- 3 consecutive bosses
- 3 consecutive improved bosses
- 5 consecutive bosses
- 5 consecutive improved bosses
The improved versions, by the way, have no more life or strength, by the way, but have given them even more ways to kick their ass. Think of extra extremities, healing powers, companions who help them kill you... Everything good!
Dead Cells has been adding content constantly since its launch four years ago, and Motion Twin commented a few months ago that the game is in the middle of her life. In fact, they took the opportunity to announce that there would also be great updates for Dead Cells in 2023, and defined this year as the most exciting for the title.
Back in August 2018, shortly after his departure from early access to arrive in his 1.0, my partner Víctor Martínez dedicated a few words to Dead Cells in his analysis, when he commented that it was a surprising procedural metroidvania that attracts for His extravagant mixture and retains for his great combat system:
Almost inevitably, the final stretch falters a little and I would not mind that Motion Twin had put a little more effort to create a few more final bosses, or to create more interesting final bosses, to explore the fight not so much in its More systemic variations (such a weapon does more damage when I hit an enemy trapped in such a trap; for example) but also in the pure particularity of its use, different depending on the type and each appropriate to a type of game; The scale difference between what is perceived at the beginning, when Dead Cells seems a constant expansion game and with a labyrinthine and obsessive structure, and what ends up being the global map when you move by him with a certain ease. Bittersweet.
Here you can take a look at the complete analysis.
