Teso fans watched! Publisher Bethesda announced a new update for The Elder Scrolls online for the end of August. The Update 31 brings new graphical improvements for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S and a new HDR mode. We reveal you on which innovations you can look forward to.

Update 31 has better graphic in the luggage
When is Update 31? The new graphic update appears on 31.August 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS4 and PS5. PC and STADIA players can download the update slightly earlier, the patch appears on August 23, 2021.
What comes with the new update? The update focuses mainly on the power mode of the PS5 and Xbox Series X / s. So far, it was only possible to play with 1440p on Xbox Series X and 1080p on PS5 and Xbox Series S. Who wanted to have a resolution of 4k, could not couple this with the 60 fps.
Bethesda has now improved the resolution for power mode so that still constant 60 fps can be kept. With the update, the following resolutions are possible:
- Xbox Series X and PS5: between 1080p and 2160p (4K)
- Xbox Series S: between 1080p and 1440p
It is possible that the frame rate could still sink in big battles anyway. Accordingly, play ends can dynamically adjust the resolution to 1080p, if the stable frame rate is more important and they feel disturbed by smaller breakdowns.

The new HDR mode will replace the previous ones by default. Anyone who has become accustomed to the current colored color palette, which can still maintain the previous HDR mode by changing the HDR mode of standard to Lively in the settings.
