The mood pictures could hardly have been more different this weekend. While the wounds are licked in Hoffenheim after a painful 1: 5 clap in Gladbach and a complete slump in the season finale, Sargis Adamyan can no longer get out of cheering. The TSG striker, awarded to Bruges since the winter, scored his sixth goal on Sunday in his 14th assignment for the Belgians and made the early title win with his decisive winning goal for 3-1 against Antwerp.
This loan has proven to be an enormous profit for Adamyan. After his orders in Hoffenheim were increasingly limited to short missions as a substitute, the 28-year-old had decided on a loan and had followed the reputation of his former Hoffenheim coach Alfred Schreuder to Bruges. There, the national player Armenia received more seasons and contributed five goals in nine games to qualify for the master finals. Here, too, Adamyan was on the pitch in all previous five rounds and now made the early decision with his 3-1 on Sunday.
Bruges has a purchase option
How things will continue after this season for 1.5 million euros from second division Jahn Regensburg to Hoffenheim is still open. Bruges has secured a purchase option and could firmly commit Adamyan, whose contract with the TSG is still dated to 2023. However, Schreuder, who initially worked in Hoffenheim as an assistant coach (October 2015 to January 2017) and later as head coach in 2019 to June 9, 2020), will leave the club and the new head coach by Ajax Amsterdam.
Before that, however, it is important to complete and enjoy the last matchday and the extensive celebrations around the Belgian championship. Then there are also decisions in the Adamyan case, which has previously played a total of 53 games for TSG in the Bundesliga, Cup and Europa League and scored eleven goals.
